Marking the first blog of the basalisk slayer. There are no basalisks anymore you say? Yea, you're welcome.
So I recently watched the Lord of the Rings movies. Everyone loves Lord of the Rings. The movies were great. Although I can't read the books since my mum refused to buy me the series after I spent 2000 rupees on new books and they're not available in the Khargym library *silently cries* (My birthday is on 7th May by the way. Thought you ought to know.)
Anyway, out of all the amazing dialogues of the series, there was one of Samwise Gamgee that got me thinking,
“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.”
Even darkness must pass, everything is temporary and we can't let it affect us all the time. This is basically to all of depressed people. Try smiling. Terrible things happen to everyone all the time. You shouldn't let it get to you. Don't let it affect your mind. Yes things are bad right now but no one said that they wouldn't get better. Cutting yourself shows weakness. That you are weak and easily defeated. You give life another chance to knock you out by revealing your weakness.
"Life is like a boxing match. Defeat is not declared when you fall, but when you refuse to stand up and fight again"
So stand up, keep fighting and turn your life around.
*Effie Trinket voice*
May the odds be ever in your favor.
Goodbye then.
-Sasha.
